The future of gaming in India is indeed very interesting and multifaceted. According to https://www.republicworld.com/initiatives/the-future-of-gaming-in-india-playstation-xbox-or-mobile, it is worth understanding that in India, the mobile gaming market and console platforms are two different but overlapping segments, and each of them has its own unique features and challenges. Before drawing conclusions, we need to consider several factors such as technology availability, purchasing power, cultural characteristics and, of course, consumer behavior. Let me start with mobile gaming. India is a country with a billion people, and at the moment, mobile devices play a vital role in people's lives. Smartphones are cheaper than consoles, and access to mobile internet is becoming easier thanks to 4G and soon 5G. This gives people the opportunity to play almost anywhere and anytime. Mobile games like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Call of Duty Mobile have become real hits, and there is nothing surprising about it. There are a large number of gamers in India who cannot afford expensive gaming consoles, but at the same time, most of them have smartphones that can play quality games. It is also worth noting that mobile games are attracting a wider audience, including people who were previously not interested in video games at all. This is a huge potential for growth in the industry.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. In my opinion, in India, we will most likely see a mix of mobile and console gaming. Of course, mobile is the mainstay given its accessibility and wide audience reach. Given that the country has a huge mobile market and most people can afford smartphones, I don’t think mobile gaming will disappear anytime soon. But on the other hand, as the previous interviewee mentioned, eSports and complex games that are only available on consoles also have their audience.
